The Loneliness Course is a valuable resource to folks who are looking to get out of loneliness–it is available now. 5 modules with multiple videos, worksheets, extra resources etc. It really allows people to “dig in” with the videos being a helpful companion on the courageous journey from loneliness to connection.
But for some people, it’s too much. They aren’t quite ready to go in on a whole course–time is too precious or acknowledging the loneliness is real is too frightening.
Now, a mini-course to introduce you to the loneliness work. Don’t take it for yourself if it doesn’t make sense–take it to understand the 1 in 3 people who are lonely.
Too often, well meaning people have said:
- “Just call a friend.”
- “Just go for coffee.”
- “just join a _____.” (fill in the blank with gym, book club, bowling league, supper club, rowing club, or whatever else the other person supposes is your interest”
Let me be crystal clear: There are no “justs” in loneliness.
Lonely people are lonely. Not stupid.
Lonely people know if they set something up, they could have connection.
But they don’t.
There’s reasons why it isn’t that simple. There are reasons why they don’t “just” call a friend.
The course: From Guard to Guide mini course: Transform your loneliness from guard dog to helpful guide dog is now available.

The whole thing can be done in a single evening. Or it can be squeezed into a busy life in 4-8 minute chunks. It allows the student to understand how a lonely part avoids connection because of the danger of connection.
Even while connection is needed and necessary to our wellbeing, there is a part of us that has been hurt in the past and doesn’t want to feel that hurt again.
Eventually, this mini course will be $23.00 but for now, it’s priced to get attract lots of people to the course. So for now, it’s minimum $7.00 in a “pay what you want” set up.
